FYS 100 – Health and Medicine in the Spanish-Speaking World (3 credit hours)
In this course we explore key periods in the history of the Spanish-speaking world, from the Romans to the US today, and delve into details about their medical knowledge and practices and their repercussions in the societies of their time. We will explore the inherent complexities of the concept of health when approached from a historic and cultural perspective.
